Colchicum stevenii, or Steven's meadow saffron, is a species of flowering plant in the family Colchicaceae. Common names are: autumn crocus, meadow saffron and naked lady. Preparations from the roots and seeds of this plant are used to treat gout and rheumatism. They are also used as an emetic. Overdoses can lead to depression and violent purging of the gut.
