MOHAMED NAGUIB MILITARY BASE, Egypt – A M109 Paladin from Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 114th Field Artillery Regiment, 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Task Force Spartan, fires a 155mm high explosive round in support of the maneuver elements in the Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise. The infantry element called in fire support to the field artillery who dropped high explosive rounds to clear the area, and then smoke rounds to conceal the movement of the infantry. The CALFEX was part of Bright Star 18.
