In the next room were found a group of lamps and a stonecup, also a jug and a small stone pestle and mortar. Here andthere lay fragments of coloured vases with white lines on ablack ground, and some jug handles. It is most exciting to pull out these pieces of variouslycoloured pottery, seeking them among the earth and charcoaland putting them together, after studying the shapes of the ^ J ^^ss^s?s^aie!^. s o < ^ S 5 o ^o o .^^^^vmmL
