Royal Navy Twin inch Mk V/Mk 6 gun in twin mount, exhibited at the "Explosions" Exhibition in Gospoprt, UK. The inch gun was used extensively on small to medium sized Royal Navy ships, such as Frigates and Destroyers during WW2 and for many years after. Modern Royal Navy vessels still deploy a inch weapon, (the Mark 8) that is a modern equivalent of this gun.
