Snout produced, com- pressed, with its upper profile descending in a curve; nose projecting ; the mouth at the lower side of the snout. Maxillary very short and small, its length being less than one-fifth of the length of the head; the supplementary bone of the maxillary narrow, elongate ; oper- culum terminating in a right angle behind, conspicuously striated. Body apparently much like that of C. qtiadrilateralis; its depth is one-fifth of the length (excluding the caudal).
