The hot spring called the "Lys" is located 3 km far from Vichy, on the Abrest village (Allier - France). Discovered more than a century ago, it has been drilled down to 505 feet and its sodium bicarbonated hot water (° Celsius) is used for algae cultivation; then mixed with the kaolin of Echassières in the various thermal baths of Vichy, the algae are used medicinally in heated mud baths. La source chaude du Lys, voisine de la la source du Dôme, est située à 3 kilomètres de Vichy sur la commune d Abrest 03200 (Allier 03 - France). Forée à une profondeur de 154 mètres, elle a été découverte plus de cent ans auparavant et ses eaux chaudes (60,5° C bicarbonatées sodiques) servent à la culture d'algues, qui une fois mélangées au kaolin d Echassières, sont utilisées pour les soins sous forme d applications de boue dans les différents centres thermaux de Vichy.
