It has a wide,spreading head and often pendulous to $ Q. suber. (Cork Oak). A native of South-ern Europe. This splendid evergreen variety,with its rounded head and upright habit ofgrowth, is a very desirable tree for the south-west. From this variety the cork of commerceis obtained; the bark is spongy and deeplyfurrowed, which adds to its appearance as anornamental tree. 50c to $
