DNA and autoradiogram. Conceptual computer artwork of a DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) double helix (green) surrounded by a genetic autoradiogram (columns of white bands). The process of producing autoradiograms is known as genetic fingerprinting. As no two individuals' DNA are the same, this technique can be used to determine whether two people are related, or who committed a crime when there is little other evidence.
