Horsedrawn carriage with Dalmatian dog, amid white poppies, Fordingbridge, Hampshire. England

This horse-drawn carriage with driver and passenger, along with Dalmatian dog, is pictured at the English carriage dog trials held at Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England. This follows a revival of interest in Dalmatians as working carriage dogs, a role which goes back to ancient Egypt, but was most prevalent in the 17th century when English noblemen introduced the breed from Europe in order for them to run beneath the back axles.
