Ladykirk church or Kirk in the Scottish Borders

Sunset over Ladykirk in the Scottish Borders this Church was built on the orders of King James IV of Scotland in thanks after he nearly drowned in the River Tweed whilst retreating from the English Army who relieved James's siege of Norham Castle in 1497, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. This church is famous as the place where the supplemental treaty to that of Chateau Cambresis was concluded, between the English and Scots commissioners. Safe from fire and flood due to it being built above the Tweed flood level and built entirely from stone to prevent the English from burning it down.
