A model 1935 pilot's dagger, a presentation dagger with Damascus blade First version of nickel silver. The blade is of genuine Turkish Damascus steel. Nickel silver hilt, quillons, and locket marked with a "10". The sun wheels gilt. The grip winding runs to the left. Leather-covered iron scabbard, nickel silver mountings, and suspension chain. A dedication engraving on the inner side of the locket, "Als Dank u. Anerkennung" (In Thanks and Recognition) as well as a soldered, stamped coat of arms for Nordfriesland. Length 45 cm.
