Mr. Peacock stated he gave as secur- ity, besides stock in his seed company, stock in an Oshkosh, Wis., company and in the Automatic Eat Trap Co. After the inquiry Tuesday evening, Mr. Peacock was allowed to return home on promise to return in the morning. Five other persons were ordered to ap- pear befpre the state's attorney April 19. They were: Mrs. Peacock, Albert Sporleder, Albert Gascon, secretary of the Everette R. Peacock Co.; A. Setter- berg, a former officer of the Peacock Co. and former director of the Milwau- kee-Irving bank, and C. J. Nissen, for- merly auditor of the Peacock Co. In The Review of March 30 report was given of the appointment of a re- ceiver for the affairs of the Everette R. Peacock Co., in which eleven banks were interested to the extent of fifty- flve per cent of the liabilities of $200,000. IMPORTS OF GRASS SEED. There are some striking differences in importations of grass seeds during the nine months ended March 31, 1922, and the three-quarters of the govern- ment's fiscal year which ended a year before.
