BRITISH TROOPS IN CAMARELLE SALERNO - Away ahead of our forward troops operate British snipers. These men of the 4th Bn. Hampshires, equipped with special rifles conceal themselves in houses and woods, their special job picking off any of the unsuspecting enemy who exposes himself to view. Each sniper is guarded by an infantryman equipped with a Tommy gun, in case of surprise attack.
