"Marines and helicopters from Marine Aircraft Group (MAG)-36 disembark at Chu Lai, Vietnam on September 2, 1965. The unit was deployed from El Toro, Calif. on the USS Tripoli LPH-10 and landed here to augment helicopter units in Danang. Other vessels seen include the USS Comstock and Xperville, where men and equipment were embarked."
