Daegu Eup-seong, which was a mud castle in 1590 and rebuilt as a stone castle in 1736, had four main doors - Jindongmun, Dalseomun, Yeongnam Jaeil Gwan, and Gongbukmun. When the castle was destroyed in 1906, the castle doors were also removed. The current Yeongnam Jaeil Gwan was moved to its current place and reconstructed in 1980
