On these bare stems are borne quantities of long, tubular flowers of the most vivid scarlet color, something like a Mauettia bloom, but more numerous. It is a novel and beautiful plant, suit- able either for beds in summer or for pot culture. In pots it blooms the entire year, especially during the winter and early spring months. The great drooping masses of bloom are like a fountain of coral, scarlet and"green. In the South it is perfectly hardy and a superb garden flower. In any climate it is one of the very easiest of all plants to grow, and certainly one of the most brilliant and persistent bloomers. Jasminoides Crandlflora—A beautifulhalf climber,easily kept in bush shape by a little pinching, or can be allowed to climb or trail at will, as it never grows too large for a window. Mostly grown as a house plant, for which its size and long profusion of star-like flowers well adapt it, but it is even more pleasing grown as a summer vine at; the foot of a pillar or window.
