The elevational range is from a few meters above sea level up to approxi- mately 1000 m Natural history: Adenomera hylaedactyla inhabits humid and semi-humid forests of the Amazon basin, as well as humid submontane forests at the Andean foot. The species supposedly has a prolonged breeding season. Males ^^'ere observed calling at day and night from the ground, mostly hidden in grassy \ ege- tation.
