Accordingly, heresigned April 1, 1892, having spent twenty years offaithful service as pastor of Zions Church. On June 19, 1892, the Rev. J. B. Haigler becamethe pastor of Zions Church. While he was pastor theuse of the German language in the church serviceswas discontinued, the Luther League was organizedand the church renovated. The old organ, which hadoccupied a place in the gallery, was given the positionit now occupies, namely, the northwest corner of the. ZIOXS, EAST PIKELAND NORRISTOWN CONFERENCE 51 main auditorium. Rev. Haigler resigned Sept. 27,1903. The Rev. Hiram F. Sieger became the pastorof Zions Church, June 1, 1904. His pastorate con-tinued until January 1, 1906. He was succeeded bythe Rev. W. K. Fisher, who assumed the duties of hisoffice March 1, 1906. He resigned May 1,1910. Rev. Chas. F. Dapp, , was unani-mously elected pastor of Zions Church, July3, 1910, and took charge of the congregationSeptember 1, 1910. During his pastorate the presentparsonage was purchased; the new organ installed andthe church furnished with electric lights; the hugegranite monument to mark the site of the old churcherected; the Sunday-school room renovated and thecemetery increased by the purchase of six acres fromthe Benjamin Fryer farm. The congregation is activeand conscious of its responsibility to the Master in re-ference to the needs of the church locally and at offerings for synodical purpo
