The top of Murchison Falls where the River Nile is squeezed through a 7 metre gap, Uganda

Ernest Hemingway involuntarily spent a night at the top of the Murchison Falls when his plane crashed there in 1954, on attempting to continue his journey by air from the airstrip at the nearby town of Butiaba (on the shores of Lake Albert) a couple of days later that plane crashed as well almost killing Hemmingway. Other notable visitors to Murchison Falls are Winston Churchill, Humphrey Bogart and Catherine Hepburn while filming "The African Queen", Theodore Roosevelt and a selection of the British Royal Family.
