He obtained his prelimi-nary education in the schools of his native town, after which he was graduated, with the degree ofA B., from Pennsylvania College in [862. Three years later that institution gave him the degreeof Upon finishing his collegiate course lie entered Pennsylvania Medical College, in [865.
