It is the symbol of the Bavarian Illuminati (which really did exist, though its not what the conspiracy theorists would have you believe.) Later a symbol used in Freemasonry. There's nothing demonic or evil about the symbol. It's the symbol for the New Aeon, the Aeon of Horus. I'll break down the symbolism a bit further for you, the triangle is the magic sign for fire. [This is why in some depictions of the symbol you'll see rays of light surrounding it.] The eye is the eye of Horus, the Hawk headed god, the Crowned and Conquering Child. He's the symbol for the New Aeon, the one we're in now. Which is characterized by growth, in consciousness and love, and self actualization
