(VIII) Colonel Frank Woodbridge, son ofCharles and Waitstill Dexter (Shaw) Cheney,was born at Providence, Rhode Island, June5, 1832, died at his home in South Manches-ter, Connecticut, May 26, 1909. He becamethe secretary and treasurer of The CheneyBrothers Silk Manufacturing Company ofSouth Manchester. He was a soldier duringthe civil war, serving as lieutenant-colonel ofthe Sixteenth Connecticut A^olunteer Infantry,and was honorably discharged, December 24,1862.
