The view in Fig. 15 shows a pile of shoes and wedges onthe reclamation platform where the brass is melted out asmentioned in the article last month. The furnace for thework is seen at the left and as there indicated it is fired byoil fuel. The amount of brass thus saved from old shoes andwedges will run to about 2,600 lb. in two weeks time. Ma-.
