There was a small elliptic abrasion over theinternal malleolus of the tibia. The diagnosis of osteomyelitis of the mctaphysis of thefemur was made, on account of the history and the fact that,while there was fluid in the joint, the main tenderness wasin the region of the lower epiphysis of the femur.
