Night beach portrait illuminated Skyscreamer and Skycoaster bungee jumps, South Pier, Blackpool Illuminations, UK, 2013
The South Pier, dating to 1893, and using Worthington Screwpile water jets to drive the piles in, is the newest of Blackpool's three piers. It was m (429 ft) long and wide enough for a bandstand, a few shops and ice-cream stall. It now features amusement rides of varying difficulty. At its end, are the white knuckle Skycoaster and Skyscreamer bungee jumps. Night portrait from the beach on the north side of the pier towards the illuminated Skyscreamer and Skycoaster rides.
