Bright Orange Lichens Cover the Rocks. Dymondia margaretae is endangered and faces a very high risk of extinction in the wild. Its geographic range is estimated to be less than 5 000 km², severely fragmented or known to exist at no more than five locations, with projections of continuing decline due to its extent and/or quality of habitat. Dymondia margaretae stands alone in a genus of its own.
