The Virginia National Guard's 29th Division Band provides music June 24, 2017, In Madison, Virginia, for a ceremony dedicating a new historical highway marker honoring a Medal of Honor recipient born in the county. The marker recognizes Army Cpl. Clinton Greaves and his act of "extraordinary heroism" during a cavalry fight with Apache Indians on Jan. 24, 1877, in the Florida Mountains of New Mexico. The event was sponsored by American Legion Post #157, and Congressman Tom Garrett served as the guest speaker.
