When used in connection with a heater, it is placed atthe back of the heater, as shown in Figure 8, betweenthe return pipe and the pipe connecting top of the coilto the drum. (The heater coil can be cut out if so de-sired.) The steam is controlled by an angle valve, placed atthe top of the 3/^-inch supply pipe.
