Devil supporting the font at entrance to Eglise (Church) Mary Magdalene, Rennes-le-Château, Aude, Languedoc-Roussillon, France.

Dedicated in 1059 and subsequently surrounded by mystery and controversy following the unexplained wealth lavished by the local Abbot priest, Berenger Saunière, on both the church, when he refurbished it in the late 19th century, and himself, he built the adjacent Madala Tower as his personal library, and some of the odd features he chose for the church, including this font, lead to stories of the discovery of hidden treasure of the Knights Templar, which were picked up on in books such as "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" and "The Da Vinci Code".
