A shot of spring Bluebells growing in a wooded area of Beckenham Palce common Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta, syn. Endymion non-scriptus, Scilla non-scripta) is a spring-flowering bulbous perennial plant. It is native to the British Isles, the Netherlands, Belgium, and northern and western France. Beckenham Placer Park is the largest green space in the borough of Lewisham, covering 96 hectares, with large areas of ancient woodland ideal for informal woodland walks. The park is an important wildlife site and it also makes up part of the South East London Green Chain Walk and the regional Capital Ring It also contained one of the only remaining 18-hole public golf courses in the country
