View SW of Dun Ardtreck, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK: a small Iron Age fort on a terraced rocky knoll on the W coast of Ardtreck Point at the mouth of Loch Harport. The D-shaped galleried dun has features similar to a broch tower: rebated entrance passage with door-check, bar-hole & guard cell, & galleries within the double-skinned wall. The knoll rises 15m from the sea & from the hollow on the E. A stone wall with an entrance on the E created an enclosure between the edge of the knoll & the dun. Oronsay isle & Ullinish Point are to rear R, Gob na h-Oa headland to rear L.
