The following extract from a letter of the American Consul at Turin will explain the matter: It is a pleasure to me to say to you that the Class Jurycharged with making provisional awards for ceramic exhibitsat the Exposition has reported in favor of a Grand Prize tothe American Womans League for the exhibit of Robineauporcelains, and, further, in favor of a grand prize for as artist. It is possible that the provisional awardof Grand Prize to Mrs. Robineau as artist cannot be maintainedbecause the Jury regulations make no provision for the awardof Grand Prizes except to exhibits.
