A garrison cap for enlisted men of the Gardes de Corps du Roi, as worn after 1814 Cap of dark blue cloth with silver braid lace, an attached spun silver tassel, and an embroidered emblem bearing the Medusa head. The interior lined with leather, and bearing an old "Collection André Thélot" label, with the hand-written description, "Bonnet de Police des Gardes du Corps Compagnie de Luxembourg Maison du Roi 1815".
