Basaltic Pillow Lava On Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey


Part of the Pre-cambrian Gwna Group. They were formed by undersea volcanic eruptions; as the molten rock billowed out meeting the cold sea water the rock solidified producing this pillow shape.
