The Giger Museum, which opened in 1998, still attracts many visitors from all over the world. Hans-Ruedi Giger became internationally famous for his extraterrestrial landscapes and the figures he created for the films Alien by Ridley Scott (1979) and Species by Roger Donaldson (1995).
