04/01/2022 Gravesend UK. A flood warning was in place today and the Thames Barrier at Woolwich was closed to protect London. In combination of severe weather in the North of the UK and high tides caused flooding in the Thames Estuary town of Gravesend. Images show flooding in the riverside gardens of The Clarendon Royal Hotel, Royal Pier Road as a container ship passes by.
