Air Force Brig. Gen. Virginia Gaglio, Air Component Commander of the Massachusetts National Guard, congratulates Col. Tom ‘Sling’ Bladen, the previous wing commander of the 104th Fighter Wing, after completing his ‘fini flight’ on August 4, 2022, at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. ‘Fini flights’ or final flights are ceremonial flights performed at the conclusion of one’s career or assignment. This flight concluded Bladen’s 25-year long career and over 2,400 flight hours in the F-15.
