A Pale-thighed langur, rescued by police from a village in southern Thailand and being gradually rehabilitated into the wild by a rainforest wildlife research station. Orphans such as this juvenile female langur are typically the victims of the wildlife trade, be it for bushmeat or for organised trade with orders for wild animals put out by restaurants. The prospects for this young female are good, she is more likely to be accepted by a troop of local langurs than a male would have been.
