Scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of Oceanimonas baumannii, Gram-negative, aerobic, marine, rod prokaryote (bacterium). Oceanimonas baumannii is a gamma Proteobacterium (Protobacteria), capable of utilizing phenol as a sole carbon source. It is found typically in marine environments. Oceanimona s species are closely related to Pseudomonas and Aeromonas, and the genus was created during the taxonomic reorganization of the pseudomonads. Magnification: x2,935 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
