Din Lligwy enclosed hut group, Anglesey, the NE rectangular workshop (iron-working) of a Roman-period, native British settlement

Din Lligwy hut group: the NE rectangular workshop (iron-working hearths & slag), of a Roman-period, native British enclosed settlement. An Iron Age village remodelled to form a Romano-British 'villa' with a mix of round & angular houses & workshops within a pentagonal walled enclosure. To the rear, along the W wall, are the chieftain's round-house (R) & a square house with animal enclosure (L). The substantial walls are double-skinned, built of upright limestone slabs & laid blocks.
