Wolf House Cottages, once known ads Lindeth House, at Gibraltar near Silverdale in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB. An inscription on the Coat of Arms above the door reads "homo homini lupus" man is wolf to man. This perhaps has a bearing on the local legend that the last wolf in England was shot near here.
