Self-assembled DNA triangle. Molecular model of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) strands forming what is called a tensegrity triangle. These triangular subunits self-assemble under the right conditions to form 3D structures. The resulting crystals and patterns have applications in DNA nanotechnology. Other applications include drug design and determining the structure of other biomolecules. This research was published in 2009.
