Eden Walkway at Eden Project, Bodelva, United Kingdom. Architect: Jerry Tate Architects, 2013. Walkway platform under dome struc

This project will bring a new visitor experience to the Humid Tropics Biome at the Eden Project. A high level walkway will take visitors up to the tropical canopy, and allow access deep into the only rainforest in captivity. High level classrooms and interpretation spaces set into the rear ‘cliff’ of the Biome will provide a series of education spaces to demonstrate our reliance on the rainforest environment. The majority of the walkway will encourage and allow planting to grow in and around the superstructure so that the scheme is ‘lost’ over time and becomes a landscape feature within the Biome.
