The recently lit Christmas tree, donated to the people of London by the city of Oslo each year since 1947 took center stage with London's iconic landmark ,St Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican church behind.

An audience of 3,500 volunteers was entertained by Britain's Got Talent pop-opera sensations Jonathan and Charlotte, who performed hits such as Rule the World, and the Centre for Young Musicians concert choir.
