The Ridgeway national trail, one of England's long distance walking routes, follows the ancient Ridgeway from Overton Hill near Avebury in Wiltshire, then follows footpaths and part of the ancient Icknield Way through the Chilterns to Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire, a distance of 87 miles.
