Student walks around Ohio University during a snowstorm Uri swept across the United States from February 12th to the 16th covering the United States in snow and Ice. Uri begun in the Pacific Northwest, and headed all the way to the southeast of US. The storm has claimed many lives due to car accidents and low temperatures. In Athens County Ohio the storm began on Monday morning February 15, 2021 and has continued into Tuesday 16, 2021. Currently Athens County is under a level two snow emergency.
