Brasenose College, Oxford, United Kingdom. Architect: Berman Guedes Stretton, 2012. Looking into kitchens through stone arch.

Brasenose College in Oxford is over 500 years old. Berman Guedes Stretton Architects had to enlarge and improve the circulation spaces, rationalise the many corridors and rooms into a whole building that was fit for use for many more years to come. Their intervention needed to be obvious but not intrusive on the existing architecture. Drawing on their many years experience in this sector they created a stunning series of solutions demonstrating sensitivity and boldness in equal measure.
