1937 Lagonda LG45


Lagonda LG45 crewed by John Abel (GB) and Mike Hope (GB) 278 Lagonda competing in The 4th. Flying Scotsman Rally 2012 organized by The Endurance Rally Association passing through Kirton Holme Nr. Boston in Lincolnshire on the first day of the rally on Friday 20th. April. 278 LagondaLG45`s plus 25 LG45 Rapides were built in the mid 1930`s fitted with a 4467 cc 6cy. OHV Meadows engine which was manufactured in Wolverhampton. The Lagonda is a British built car produced by a company founded in 1906 in Staines, Middlesex by a former opera singer who was born in Springfield Ohio USA He named his company after the river Lagonda which flows nearby to where he was born. In 1947 the company Lagonda was taken over David Brown and amalgamated with Aston Martin.
