Red-eyed tree frog clinging to a plant stem. Red-eyed tree frogs (Agalychnis callidryas) are found in the tropical rainforests of central America where they live in trees and other vegetation. They are primarily nocturnal and feed mainly on insects, although they have been known to eat small frogs. Their bold colouration has made them popular in the pet trade.
