FREEMAN OF "THE FLOWERS" 336 Superior Street. TOLEDO. OHIO number of the best varieties, such as Mina Burgle, Sulphur King, Pink Per- fection, Nymphia and others, are just beginning to bloom. Helianthus is fine this season. There is a noticeable demand for ferns and indoor plants, which is some- what unusual so early in the season. Paper Whites, yellow Paper Whites and Chinese sacred lilies are the only bulbs thus far received. These are mov- ing well despite the high prices; con- trary to what we were led to expect, the quality is better than last year. There were comparatively few Dutch bulbs or- dered hero this year, since the trade planned to depend more on other flow- ers, rather than pay the high prices asked for the bulbs, with no warrant that they would be good when received. Various Notes. The following salesmen have called upon the trade recently: Robert Shoch, representing the M. Rice Co., Philadel- phia; J. G. Lewis, of Lion & Co., New York; E. M. Cox, of the Sefton Manu- facturing Co., Chicago; W. P. Snyder, of the Edwards Folding Box Co., Phila- delphia; J. A. Cohen, of the Climax Manufacturing Co., Castorland, N. Y.
